About the Event
For the third year, the Enlightening Hope Project is hosting a local Overdose Awareness Event. This year, we are excited to be collaborating with HOPE, Inc., a Center of Excellence for peer and family-run behavioral health services. We are grateful to HOPE and to the community organizations that come together each year to support this project. We could not do this without them.
The event will offer community resources from organizations throughout Tucson and is open to the public. It is an opportunity for the city of Tucson to gather in support of this global movement by advocating for understanding, compassion, and change.
This year's theme is “Recognizing those people who go unseen.” It is a time to honor the people whose lives have been altered by overdose; the family and friends grieving the loss of a loved one; workers in healthcare and support services extending strength and compassion; or spontaneous first responders who selflessly assume the role of lifesaver.
